1.2 Driver License Data (Sensitive Personal Information)

When you or your authorized users scan a driver license through the IDLS application, the following data may be extracted and temporarily processed:

  • Full legal name;
  • Date of birth;
  • License number;
  • License class, endorsements, and restrictions;
  • Expiry date and issuing jurisdiction;
  • Address (where encoded on the license);
  • License photograph (where captured).

This data is classified as sensitive personal information. We process it solely for the purpose of providing the verification service you have contracted with us to deliver. We do not sell, rent, or share this data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

1.3 Automatically Collected Information

  • Device identifiers, operating system version, and app version;
  • IP address and general geographic location;
  • Log data including feature usage, error reports, and crash data;
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website.

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the IDLS Service;
  • Process identity verification requests initiated by you;
  • Manage your account and subscription;
  • Process payments and send billing-related communications;

Driver license scan data is retained for the period specified in your subscription agreement (default: 90 days) and then securely deleted. You may request earlier deletion at any time. Aggregated, anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include encryption at rest and in transit (TLS), role-based access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Deletion: request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten");
